Thank you to Daz Rice for allowing the Winning act to perform at Yutofest in July. Also to Seb for giving the slot at rock the dead donkey.

Thanks to Jamie and Jason (April Moon) for performing a short set.

We are also grateful to our outstanding photographer Claire Griffiths of CJ Griffiths Photography.

A final thank you has to go to Blackpool Sixth and Jenny Waterworth for providing such a great venue.
Good luck to Jenny for running the london marathon and raising money for Clic Sargent. I will post a link to the donations page as soon as I get one so you can help support her and the people (Children) who so need the help Clic Sargent provide.

Hope you all had a good time. We did and we hope to see you next year.

Keep looking on the site as over the next few days/weeks there will be the score sheets posted on the site from the heats and the finals and also the final photographs as soon as Claire has managed to get them to us 🙂

Thank you to Ashok for stepping in at the very last minute and filming the final.

battle of the bands heat 2 and 3 review

Well all of the heats are over and heat 2 and 3 were just as amazing as heat 1. It is astounding how much amazing young musical talent there is in Blackpool and the Fylde.

Well done to the Solid states for winning heat 2 and congratulations also to The people who will also be going through to the final for being the highest scoring runner up from heat 1 and 2.

Congratulations to all in heat 3, everyone of you deserves to be in the final but rules are rules and so well done to Belvedere and to The keys (previously known as EWF) for winning and going through to the final.

I am now really feeling for the judges of the final as there is an amazing amount of talent going to be playing for them on 18th April in the final.

Thanks to the judges: Si Staples, Drea Knight, Russell, Jakey, and Dave O;Brien who all had a very hard job making any decision tonight. Also many thanks again to Jenny and Blackpool Sixth, Simon fox (sound techie) all of the helpers from Blackpool sixth and lastly to all of the audience members.

We hope you can all join us at the Final on 18th April. If you dont make it you will probably be missing the music event of the year!

Battle of the bands – Heat 1 review..

Well the 2013 Battle of the youth bands is now under way and heat 1 has just finished.  Tonight we had four bands on who were all extremely good I would not like to have been one of the judges! LynchSeed kicked the night off, followed Jekyll, then The Big Red and finishing the night off were Broken Strings.

The judges had a really hard decision and the scores were all pretty close (so watch out on the Eaglefest website and Facebook pages for the runner up with the highest score (from all 3 heats) who also goes through to the final). Congratulations to the winner from heat 1 was Jekyll.

Please go visit all of the bands Facebook pages as they were all amazing.
