£3000 raised in 2014

Eaglefest 2014 raised a phenomenal £3000 for Joes dream to walk.
We know this money will help Joe a lot and we thank you all for turning out for the weekend to support both joe and all of the great local bands who played over the weekend.

Eaglefest 2014 date announced!

eaglefest 2014 - banner

Eaglefest 2014 will be bigger, louder and better than ever before. the number of bands wishing to donate their time to play has been so overwhelming that we have had to make this years event a two day extravaganza of music.  Last years Eagelfest (Eaglefest 2013) was a fantastic day with over 14 bands performing day and night. All of the acts last year were outstanding and Myself and Ian were worried during the day as to how we would follow this up. That said this year already looks like we were worried for nothing. Make sure you all add the dates to your Diary, calendar or phone so you don’t miss this amazing weekend!

More news, details and band listings to follow soon.

Eaglefest 2013

Eaglefest 2013 will take place on August 31st 2013. This year we have an amazing line up for you including a number of the youth bands who played in the Battle of the youth bands competition. This is one date you NEED to add to your diaries now, and a day NOT to be missed.

A huge thank you to Rock Hard Studios for offering the great prize of recording time to cut a cd single for the winning band. Also thanks to Globe Gig Radio for offering air time for the heat winners and air play for the winners single, as well as interviewing the bands.

Thank you to Daz Rice for allowing the Winning act to perform at Yutofest in July. Also to Seb for giving the slot at rock the dead donkey.

Thanks to Jamie and Jason (April Moon) for performing a short set.

We are also grateful to our outstanding photographer Claire Griffiths of CJ Griffiths Photography.

And we can not forget our brilliant sound engineer Simon Fox, who has put in so much time and effort throughout the heats and the final.

A final thank you has to go to Blackpool Sixth and Jenny Waterworth for providing such a great venue.
Good luck to Jenny for running the london marathon and raising money for Clic Sargent. I will post a link to the donations page as soon as I get one so you can help support her and the people (Children) who so need the help Clic Sargent provide.

Hope you all had a good time. We did and we hope to see you next year.

Keep looking on the site as over the next few days/weeks there will be the score sheets posted on the site from the heats and the finals and also the final photographs as soon as Claire has managed to get them to us 🙂

Thank you to Ashok for stepping in at the very last minute and filming the final.

All of the bands are excited about being on the radio so please listen or watch online and support them. If you want to you could even connect to globegig on facebook and show your support for the bands (possibly even make a cheeky request for one of the bands songs to be played 😉 )

After meeting with Dave Blundell (who will host the special one off show on Saturday) and Steve Sharples (One of our industry Judges for the final) from Globegig radio both Ian and myself (Dave) are excited and looking forward to the show, and giving the bands, who made it through to the final a chance to be interviewed and play live on air.

We hope you can join us on air this Saturday and help support the extremely talented young musicians we have for our final.
